18/2 Freya wool/ silk - JST's version of Zephyr – Pewter

The Freya yarn can replace what you've previously known as "Zephyr" yarn. This yarn is an 18/2 50% Merino/50% Tussah Silk blend available in 100 g cones – 1,312 yds/cone. 5943 yards/ lb This unique combination of natural fibres provides yarn that is lightweight and lustrous. Equal percentages of fine Merino wool and Tussah silk are joined to create a truly elegant yarn. Because wool and silk accept dyes differently, the fabric made from this yarn may have a slightly "tweedy" look. Check out our Fulling Instructions on the JST Knowledge Base for tips on fulling! Sett Plain weave: 16-20 epi depending on how much you want to full your fabric Twill: 18-24 epi depending on how much you want to full your fabric. For collapsible fabrics, use 15 epi in plainweave.
