20/2 Bombyx Silk – Black Magic

100% bombyx silk. Spun in Switzerland, hand dyed here on Salt Spring Island. 20/2 is available in 100 g skeins with 1,100 yds/skein (5,000 yds/lb). Our 20/2 silk has a lovely soft ply and is suitable for medium fine scarves. For optimum drape we sett 20/2 silk at 20 epi for Plain Weave and 24 for Twill. Check out Jane’s Master Sett Chart for ideas and setts for combining silk with other fibres. Please note that these silks are small batch dyed and will appear very different than on your monitor. While we do everything we can to ensure that our dye lots are consistent, we do experience variations. If there is a dye lot difference between skeins in your order, we will contact you BEFORE completing your order.
